Dab­hol plant recom­mences pro­duc­tion

The Dab­hol power plant in Maharashtra recom­menced elec­tric­ity gen­er­a­tion af­ter re­main­ing shut for nearly two years. “The Dab­hol plant restarted elec­tric­ity gen­er­a­tion af­ter hav­ing been shut for nearly two years due to short­age of do­mes­tic gas,” a re­lease said. The plant is pro­duc­ing 290 MW power ini­tially which will be sold to the In­dian Rail­ways, it said.
