Soft­Bank de­buts in In­dian so­lar space

` Vikram So­lar Pvt Ltd is ex­pand­ing its man­u­fac­tur­ing ca­pac­ity to pro­duce 1 GW of so­lar pan­els an­nu­ally, as against 500 MW now. It is also ven­tur­ing into pro­duc­tion of so­lar cells. The ex­pan­sion would be car­ried out at the com­pany’s ex­ist­ing unit at Falta in West Ben­gal, in two phases spread over three years.

Tri­ton So­lar The board of has ap­proved the set­ting up of a 2.1-mw wind power plant in Andhra Pradesh, for cap­tive con­sump­tion. The board, on De­cem­ber 17, ap­proved the ap­point­ment of Su­zlon En­ergy as the turnkey con­trac­tor for the pro­ject. Her­itage Foods re­cently set up a so­lar power plant to meet the cap­tive re­quire­ments of its fac­tory in Te­lan­gana.
