Punj Lloyd clinches high­way projects worth ` 1,555 crore

unj Lloyd has an­nounced win­ning four high­way EPC projects worth ` 1,555 crore spread over Bi­har, Ch­hat­tis­garh, Odisha and Pun­jab. While the Pun­jab or­der has been placed by Min­istry of Road Trans­port & High­way, the re­main­ing three or­ders have come from Na­tional High­ways Au­thor­ity of In­dia.

Worth ` 567 crore, the scope of work for the Bi­har pro­ject en­tails four-lan­ing of 60 km of the Si­maria–Kha­garia sec­tion on NH-31. The Ch­hat­tis­garh pack­age, worth ` 513 crore, com­prises the four/six lan­ing of 48 km of the Raipur-Simga sec­tion of NH-200 in Ch­hat-

Ptis­garh. This con­tract in­cludes the by­pass and 22 sup­port­ing struc­tures like fly­overs, ve­hic­u­lar un­der­passes (VUP) and bridges. This sec­tion of NH200 is the ma­jor power hub of In­dia con­nect­ing the state cap­i­tal, Raipur to Bi­laspur through var­i­ous in­dus­trial and com­mer­cial es­tab­lish­ments, a re­lease from Punj Lloyd noted.

The Odisha pro­ject, val­ued at ` 392 crore, in­volves re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion and upgra­da­tion of four-lan­ing with paved shoul­ders of 50 km of the Tale­bani to Sam­balpur sec­tion of NH-6.

The man­date in Pun­jab has been won in joint ven­ture with VRC Con­struc­tions (I) Pvt Ltd. It in­volves four-lan­ing with paved side shoul­ders of 35 km of the Talle­wal - Bar­nala sec­tion of the NH71. The con­struc­tion of the Bar­nala By­pass and 13 other sup­port­ing in­fra­struc­ture in­clud­ing fly­overs, VUP/pas­sen­ger un­der­pass (PUP), road over bridge and bridges, also fall un­der Punj Lloyd’s scope of work.

“With th­ese four wins, the Group’s or­der back­log stands at ` 21,838 crore. The or­der back­log is the value of un­ex­e­cuted or­ders on Septem­ber 30, 2015 plus new or­ders re­ceived af­ter that date,” the re­lease from Punj Lloyd noted.
