KIOCL’S bell ring­ing cer­e­mony at NSE- Mum­bai

The open­ing bell cer­e­mony for the list­ing of KIOCL share at Na­tional Stock Ex­change (NSE) was held on 2 De­cem­ber, 2016 at Mum­bai to mark the com­mence­ment of trad­ing of KIOCL’S eq­uity share at NSE plat­form.

The pro­gramme was at­tended by the of­fi­cials of Na­tional Stock Ex­change, In­sti­tu­tional In­vestors, Bankers, be­sides rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the print and visual me­dia. Shri Malay Chat­ter­jee, CMD, KIOCL Ltd, Shri MV Subba Rao, Di­rec­tor (Com­mer­cial) & Shri N. Vidyananda, Di­rec­tor (Pro­duc­tion & Project) and Shri SK Go­rai, Fi­nance (Di­rec­tor), along with other of­fi­cials par­tic­i­pated in the event.

CMD, Sri Malay Chat­ter­jee, briefed the au­di­ence about the cur­rent sta­tus of the Com­pany and the var­i­ous on­go­ing ini­tia­tives taken in­clud­ing the growth prospects and in­vest­ment plans in the Green­field / Brown­field Projects.

Shri Chat­ter­jee also in­formed that the eq­uity shares of the Com­pany are ad­mit­ted & listed at Na­tional Stock Ex­change for trad­ing since 29-11-2016 and ex­pected to be­come bullish with the af­ter­math of the bell cer­e­mony due to huge po­ten­tial and growth plan of the cat­e­gory-i Mini-ratna CPSU KIOCL Ltd.


Sri Swapan Ku­mar Go­rai has joined KIOCL as Di­rec­tor (Fi­nance) on 11 Novem­ber, 2016 at Cor­po­rate of­fice, Ban­ga­lore. He is a Char­tered Ac­coun­tant and has a Mas­ters de­gree in Busi­ness Man­age­ment (Fi­nance). He has a vast multi-cul­tural ex­pe­ri­ence of 28 years in­clud­ing 12 years in top-level man­age­ment and strat­egy for­mu­la­tion in a num­ber of large/mnc com­pa­nies. Dur­ing his rich and varied ex­pe­ri­ence, he has held var­i­ous po­si­tions as Gen­eral Man­ager (Com­mer­cial) in Fos­ter Wheeler In­dia Pri­vate Lim­ited, Gen­eral Man­ager (F&A) in Kazstroy ser­vices In­fas­truc­ture In­dia Pvt Ltd., Gen­eral Man­ager (F&A) in Pun­jl­loyd Lim­ited (Tripoli – Libya/gur­gaon- In­dia) etc. Sri Swapan Ku­mar has a wide ex­po­sure to Fund Rais­ing, Fi­nan­cial Anal­y­sis, Bud­get­ing, Fund Man­age­ment, Pro­cure­ments, Bid Eval­u­a­tion & Price Ne­go­ti­a­tion of EPC/LSTK projects,

Con­tract man­age­ment, ERP Im­ple­men­ta­tion, Hu­man Re­source is­sues, IT In­fra­struc­ture man­age­ment. Dur­ing his ca­reer, he has worked / vis­ited in a num­ber of coun­tries namely Malaysia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Su­dan, UAE, Libya, Thai­land, USA, KSA and Sierra Leone.

Prior to join­ing KIOCL, Sri SK Go­rai was work­ing as Group Gen­eral Man­ager (F&A) in Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions Con­sul­tants In­dia Lim­ited.


In recog­ni­tion of the ac­tiv­i­ties in the im­ple­men­ta­tion of of­fi­cial lan­guage pol­icy for the year 2015-16, KIOCL Lim­ited was awarded Is­pat Ra­jb­hasha Tro­phy for the “C” re­gion. Shri Malay Chat­ter­jee, CMD, re­ceived Is­pat Ra­jb­hasha Tro­phy from Hon’ble Min­is­ter of State for Steel and Mines, Gov­ern­ment of In­dia Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, on 19.11.2016 at Mag­no­lia Hall In­dia Habi­tat Cen­tre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi on the eve of Hindi Salahkar Samiti meet­ing. The or­gan­i­sa­tions which come un­der steel min­istry par­tic­i­pated in the meet­ing. Hon’ble Min­is­ter of State for Steel and Mines ap­pre­ci­ated the ef­forts of the steel com­pa­nies in the im­ple­men­ta­tion of the of­fi­cial lan­guage pol­icy of the union.


Hon’ble Steel Min­is­ter Shri Chaud­hary Biren­der Singh, launched the newly-re­vamped web­site of KIOCL Lim­ited at New Delhi on 25.11.2016 in pres­ence of Dr. Aruna Sharma, IAS, Sec­re­tary, Min­istry of Steel, GOI, Shri Malay Chat­ter­jee, Chair­man-cum-man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, KIOCL Ltd. and of­fi­cials of the Steel Min­istry.

In or­der to meet to­day’s re­quire­ment, KIOCL in-house team has de­vel­oped a vi­brant new look cor­po­rate web­site with an im­proved and struc­tured lay­out, in­tu­itive de­sign which auto op­ti­mizes across browsers & de­vices and a sim­ple nav­i­ga­tion with easy to lo­cate in­for­ma­tion. An­other ma­jor change is the in­te­gra­tion of so­cial me­dia, which al­lows eas­ily shar­ing of in­ter­est­ing con­tent by Twit­ter, Face­book and You Tube.

Hon’ble Steel Min­is­ter com­mended the ef­fort of KIOCL team for chang­ing with time to cope up with the tech­nol­ogy. KIOCL’S “Horse’s Mouth” Jour­nal for the third quar­ter was also re­leased by Hon’ble Min­is­ter on the oc­ca­sion.


KIOCL ob­served “Vig­i­lance Aware­ness Week’’ with pledge tak­ing on 31 Oc­to­ber, 2016 at all the lo­ca­tions / of­fices. Es­say and Elo­cu­tion Com­ple­tions were con­ducted for the em­ploy­ees and school chil­dren on Vig­i­lance Aware­ness dur­ing the week on the theme “Pub­lic par­tic­i­pa­tion in pro­mot­ing In­tegrity and erad­i­cat­ing of Cor­rup­tion.”

Shri. Pronab Mo­hanty, IPS, was the guest of hon­our for the func­tion held in con­nec­tion with Vig­i­lance Aware­ness Week at Ban­ga­lore on 5 Novem­ber, 2016 and Shri. Malay Chat­ter­jee, CMD, presided over the func­tion. Shri. Pronab Mo­han­thy stressed upon the im­por­tance of Pub­lic par­tic­i­pa­tion in pro­mot­ing In­tegrity and erad­i­cat­ing Cor­rup­tion. Shri. Malay Chat­ter­jee high­lighted the need for cre­at­ing pub­lic aware­ness so as to sen­si­tize the pub­lic about the con­se­quences of cor­rup­tion. He also called upon all em­ploy­ees to make ef­forts to move to­wards cor­rup­tion-free so­ci­ety.
