BSNL signs MoU with Face­book, Mo­biKwik

State run Bharat San­char Nigam Lim­ited (BSNL),the old­est Tele­com op­er­a­tor of In­dia and in­cum­bent Tele­com op­er­a­tor in Land­line, Broad­band, Leased line, VSAT cel­e­brated World Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tion and In­for­ma­tion So­ci­ety Day at BSNL Cor­po­rate Of­fice as well as at all its field of­fices. On the oc­ca­sion, BSNL signed Me­moran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing (MoU) with sev­eral or­ga­ni­za­tions. Aruna Sun­draran­jan, Sec­re­tary, De­part­ment of Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tion (DoT) said that she was con­fi­dent that BSNL will play an im­por­tant role in dig­i­tal In­dia ini­tia­tives.

BSNL signed first MoU with Face­book. Un­der this MoU BSNL is go­ing to pro­vide backhaul con­nec­tiv­ity to var­i­ous ISPs be­ing served by Face­book. Anu­pam Shri­vas­tava CMD, BSNL said, “BSNL is happy to an­nounce the start of its as­so­ci­a­tion with Face­book which has con­nected mil­lions of peo­ple world­wide. Both or­gan­i­sa­tions will gets ben­e­fit­ted with their com­ple­men­tary strengths”.

Mo­bikwik an­nounced two strate­gic part­ner­ships with BSNL, un­der which, Mo­biKwik will co-cre­ate BSNL wal­let to fa­cil­i­tate ease of pay­ment and also sell BSNL prod­ucts ex­clu­sively in their wal­let.
