Shoes & Accessories - - Editor's Letter - AMITABH TANEJA Editor-in-chief

Dear Reader,

The oldest shoemaker of the country has unveiled its first product under the new sub-brand – Healers, which is expected to become the hub of innovation and new technologies. The company will be tying up with different partners pan India and Healers will act as a channel where all the technologies and innovations will come from. This is a good move to make liberty future ready and this means that the firm will be right on the heels with regards to getting new technologically advanced footwear in the market. In this issue we share a report on its launch.

Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/festive 2017 held in Mumbai from August 16-20 with 93 designers at the St Regis was an exciting event with garments, jewellery, shoes, bags and accessories making a strong fashion statement. On top of the charts were shoes, which designers created to match their collections. Handbags too got attention and so did jewellery, which was opulent as well as colourful. Check out a report on the fashion week.

Frederique Constant has a passion for design of beautiful watches. Their perceived value through quality of design, materials and manufacturing is the key component of its success. Sebastien Cretegny, Managing Director, Frederique Constant shares his views with S&A. Dr. Deepika Krishna brings the humanity into human services and is the first to admit that Indian’s have more stressful things on their minds than health. Time-poor and work-obsessed, they are more focused on advancing their careers than taking care of their health. She knows what it takes to deliver the best care to those who need it most. She is putting the ‘human’ back into human services. For this she is making a positive difference to human health, which are both a goal and a reward. This issue brings you a candid conversation with Dr. Krishna.

Happy reading
