BOOT IT UP
With the season being Winter/festive there have to be boots as a footwear addition that will cater to the cooler climes. They are not knee high but seem to stop at the ankle and looked really stylish when created in different colours and fabrics.
Hardika Gulati’s silver peep-toe booties were a great offering for her western wear line. Chola designed grey stiletto booties and then added pink and black striped spats for extra excitement. As an alternative the pink satin ankle high boots by Chola will look great for formal wear.
Doodlage too went the boots way with ankle high black and white printed ones for the collection ‘Armchair Activism’ that was created from recycled plastic called ‘Lifaffa’.
When it comes to quirky fashion no one can beat Manish Arora whose ‘Cosmic Love’ collection had silver boots as well as impressive platforms in gold with strappy wedges.
Shreeya Somaiya was very retro in her styling with white lace up booties making a strong fashion statement. Shriya Som known for her glitzy, glam wear chose beige ankle high booties for her garments, while Shweta Kapur went for peep- toe booties in black or magenta.
Strong army calf-high multi-strap men’s boots had to be from Asa Kazingmei for his men’s wear collection called ‘Invincible’.
