LACE IT UP
The brogues are known to be very masculine and favoured by the corporate head honchos when they want to make a great sartorial impression. But is seems that the fairer sex has captured them for their fashion statements and so brogues are the best selling item on the sales charts for the coming season.
When it comes to lace up brogues, designers seem to make a beeline for them, as they appeared to be on the top of the fashion charts because of comfort and style. Akaaro had them in white that resembled sneakers for the ‘Irreverence’ collection. Antar Agni felt Black or white versions would be just perfect for men or women’s wear.
Ethicus teamed its simple shift dresses from ‘The Match Maker’ collection with coloured brogues; while Neha Agarwal presented them in a gold sneaker inspired version. Sahil Aneja also added brogues with wide wedges for his men’s wear line but Sanjay Garg whose ethereal collection ‘The Cloud People’ inspired by the liquid gold look from the Lakmé Absolute’s Argan Oil range, felt that the coloured brogues would be a great contrast story for his collection.
