The first Skoda Presents Amar Ujala Ex­cel­lence Award 2017 come with the ob­jec­tive of hon­or­ing or­ga­ni­za­tions and in­di­vid­u­als who have con­trib­uted im­mensely to the progress of so­ci­ety. Sameer Dhin­gra, Ban­ish Shoes is one per­son­al­ity who has been in­flu­en­tial in In­dia's pro­mo­tion and de­vel­op­ment and work­ing non­cha­lantly with dili­gence to im­prove the progress of so­ci­ety. Sameer Dhin­gra has car­ried for­ward the path of ex­cel­lence and has shown ex­em­plary em­pir­i­cal lead­er­ship. Amar Ujala cel­e­brated the peo­ple who made rich con­tri­bu­tions to the bet­ter­ment of the so­ci­ety and the de­vel­op­ment of the coun­try with its ex­cel­lent ef­forts and lead­er­ship ca­pa­bil­ity and hon­ored Sameer with In­ter­na­tional Busi­ness and Ex­port Award. Union Com­merce and In­dus­try Min­is­ter Suresh Prabhu on 16th Sep voiced the im­por­tance of the me­dia at Ho­tel Taj Palace in Delhi. Four celebri­ties were re­warded with the Life Time Ex­cel­lence Award in the cer­e­mony, with a to­tal of 16 celebri­ties from their re­spec­tive fields. Those who re­ceived Life Time Award in­cluded film­maker Sub­hash Ghai, Kathak dancer Shovna Narayan, en­vi­ron­men­tal­ist Chandi Prasad Bhatt and physi­cian Dr. Ra­jiv Agrawal. Mi­nor­ity Af­fairs Min­is­ter Mukhtar Ab­bas Naqvi, Min­is­ter of State for Health and Fam­ily Wel­fare Anupriya Pa­tel and Min­is­ter of State for Hu­man Re­sources and Wa­ter Re­sources Satya­pal Singh were also present.
