West Coast, Brazil’s big­gest men’s shoe brand has part­nered with Met­mill Footwear to en­ter the In­dian mar­ket. Since 1987, West Coast, has es­tab­lished it­self as pre­mium leather ca­sual shoe brand. The brand is sold over 40 coun­tries, and In­dia is their first big launch in the Asian sub-con­ti­nent. Ca­sual shoe mar­ket in In­dia has seen the high­est growth rates in the past cou­ple of years, and West Coast is con­fi­dent that it has lots to of­fer to the young In­di­ans. To­day, the brand is avail­able in Shop­pers Stop, Life­style, Metro, Mochi, Re­gal and Cen­tro, and the brand will con­tinue to ex­pand its foot­prints in In­dia. Brand is also avail­able on its ex­clu­sive on­line store and 3rd party e-com­merce plat­forms. Brand has signed Ran­nvi­jay, pop­u­lar youth icon, as its brand am­bas­sador. “The brand strength lies in mak­ing shoes in its own fac­tory in Brazil and not out sourc­ing, which al­lows the com­pany to play around with the prod­uct a lot more. The USP of West Coast is its made in Brazil and we shall be im­port­ing the en­tire mer­chan­dise and would not tam­per with the DNA of the or­ga­ni­za­tion.”
