Professional background and journey

I work on Image Management. It’s an ongoing proactive process of evaluating and controlling the impact of your appearance and the resulting response on you and others. Image is YOU in eyes and mind of others. The way you are perceived evaluated and judged on the image you project or reflects. I help clients choose clothes for a variety of occasions and help them decide which styles are flattering and communicate the appropriate message. My journey as an image consultant started in 2012, when I made my hobby my career. After working closely in recruitment, hiring and observing people of different skill set, I realized that professional has all the technical knowledge but they lack soft skills like presentation skills and body language; for them non-verbal communication did not matter but in today’s corporate world your appearance is an important success factor and can contribute immensely to your success. I say, if you are going to make an appearance, make it RIGHT and PERFECT. Thus I started the journey of Perfect Impressions, which is about dressing the people rightly.

What is the greatest learning you have had?

My greatest learning till now is the fact that your success is directly proportionate to the efforts you put in. There is demand in the market for Image consulting and designing both, but identifying the right customer and doing it rightly is really important.

How would you define your personal style?

I would say it is a mix of modern woman who love to dress up to her best. I believe in contemporary fashion and dressing right for occasion is most important for me. I believe in carrying the fashion that brings out the best in me. My fashion clothing should accentuate my plus points and hide my flaws is something I am very particular about. My wardrobe is a perfect blend of daywear, eveningwear and nightwear with the options of western clothing, Indo-Western and Indian line. I am really fond of white and love wearing white pants with multicolored tops. Being a jewellery designer, I love to accessorize myself, and I am very comfortable wearing bold fashion. Big neckpieces, big earrings and bold rings are what I really like.

Which fashion trend will you be embracing this season?

One can see me wearing lot of drapes and power suits this year. I think the fashions that bring out feminism and enhance your female power are trends to rule out this season.

How do you balance your personal life?

Balancing is the most important key to be successful. I follow a simple rule of keeping both my roles at distance. I don’t take my work to home and don’t bring my home to work, and it has been really working so far.

One of your guilty pleasures?

I am shopaholic who can’t resist controlling my temptations. I never think twice before indulging in my fashion buys.
