Wahal, Director Projects- Public Diplomacy Forum, is more about the realisation, awareness and about of the importance of cotton in the daily wardrobe and how cool and luxurious fabric it actually is.
On the eve of India's 72nd INDEPENDENCE DAY, a grand fashion was organised by Ratan Kaul and Shilpa Raina Wahal to support the campaign Cotton is Cool. All the celebrities walked the ramp in bespoke Mise A’ Jour couture cotton garments to support the cotton industry which employs millions across the country. Women nation builders were also awarded with Heart and Soul Iconic awards .The guests of honour were Tara Gandhi, Padma Vibhushan Sonal Mansingh, Padhma Shree Shovana Traxl Narayan, Dr Udit Raj, Abha Dalmia,renu Hussain, Hamza Yahia Cheri, Ambassador of Algeria, Dr Sabit Subasic, Ambassador Of Bosnia and Kanhaiya Lal Ganju, Consul General (H Y ) and Ramola Bachchan. Celebrities who walked for the cause were Miss Teen Universe Srishti Kaur, Reshma Punj, Preeti Ghai, Mallika Jain, Christine Samandari, Shivani Malik, Lipika Sud, Nikita Khattar Arya, Dr Shilpi Singh, Gunjan Sodhi and Shelly Singh.
