NGMA Ben­galuru hosts ‘ Home­lands’ ex­hi­bi­tion

The National Gallery of Mod­ern Art, Ben­galuru, in as­so­ci­a­tion with The Bri­tish Coun­cil, is host­ing the Ben­galuru leg of the ex­hi­bi­tion ‘Home­lands: A 21st Cen­tury Story of Home, Away, and All the Places in Be­tween’. The ex­hi­bi­tion has pre­vi­ously been put up in Delhi, Kolkata and Mum­bai, and will be dis­played in Ben­galuru from 6th July to 14th Au­gust 2013. The ex­hi­bi­tion fea­tures more than 80 works by more than 28 con­tem­po­rary artists from the Bri­tish Coun­cil’s art col­lec­tion, and por­trays dif­fer­ent facets of “the re­la­tion­ship be­tween self and place in a world of tran­si­tory iden­ti­ties and con­tested ge­ogra­phies”, and an ex­plo­ration of the rich plu­ral­ity of the mean­ing of ‘home­land’.
