Through dif­fer­ent types of projects, we have tried to de­velop sim­ple and mean­ing­ful ar­chi­tec­ture. Also, as a mem­ber of IGBC, I am ex­tremely eco-con­scious and try to in­cor­po­rate eco-friendly fea­tures in al­most all projects.” says Sukanya.

Since its in­cep­tion in 1990, the firm has com­pleted sev­eral projects in res­i­den­tial, com­mer­cial, hos­pi­tal­ity and in­fras­truc­tural seg­ments. She has worked ex­ten­sively in In­dia and Bangladesh, and has col­lab­o­rated with ar­chi­tects from In­dia, Sin­ga­pore, Bangladesh and US for the devel­op­ment of var­i­ous projects in the coun­try. “At present, we are work­ing on a land of 45 acres as mas­ter plan­ners for a gated com­mu­nity in Dhaka. We are in­te­grat­ing five phases in­clud­ing one phase for com­mer­cial,” she as­serts. Along the path, var­i­ous awards have come her way. Sukanya & As­so­ciates has been awarded for the In­ter­na­tional Ho­tels Com­plex at Vas­ant Vi­har, New Delhi; East-West Metro Kolkata; Sci­ence Cen­ter at Kokra­jhar, As­sam; WRIDD Of­fice Build­ing, Kolkata; EWS hous­ing town­ship at Tade­pal­ligu­dem, Andhra Pradesh; among oth­ers.
