Tree-ness House designed by Architect Akihisa Hirata is a complex building consisting of multiple houses and galleries built in Tokyo. The project, completed in 2017, takes inspiration from trees. The design team created an organic architecture that could be formed by a hierarchical combination of different parts such as plants/pleats (as openings)/ concrete boxes. The concrete boxes are stacked following a three-dimensional pattern and the main structure contains complicated voids. Plants are planted around the pleats, creating an organic environment. Bedrooms and galleries are inside the box and the outside became terraces and gardens. The place surrounded by glass is the living and dining room. This futuristic architecture awakens human and animal instincts in which the inside and outside are reversed multiple times.
