A Happening Evening

SINGING SENSATION Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle launched her first Apple authorised reseller store iAzure in tony Bandra, and not surprisingly, it was a grand affair. Asha looked every bit a diva in an elegant sari and a statement necklace, her dimples intact. A lamp was lit by the doting grandma along with other celebrities, like Jackie Shroff, who was at his gregarious best. Two firang looking glamorous girls played the flute and the harp at the entrance. The entry of Raj Thackerary and his wife Sharmila created a bit of a stir and the Thackeray scion went on to present an Apple watch to Asha. He displayed his typical wit when someone asked him why he chose the Apple watch as a gift. ‘Because you only get Apple stuff here,’ he quipped, his eyes twinkling with mischief. A cake was cut when Rishi Kapoor, apparently Asha’s favourite Kapoor, came in. Anuja, Anand and Zanai Bhosle, always cheerful and with a smile on their faces, played the perfect hosts to celebrities like Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Rashmi Thackeray, Shalini Thackeray, Soni Razdan, Suresh and Padma Wadkar, Subhash Ghai, Poonam Dhillon, sisters Padmini and Tejaswini Kolhapure, besides Anjali and Sara Tendulkar. The venue was choc-a-bloc, to say the least, but a good time was had by everyone who came to congratulate the Bhosles on their new venture.
