A Sensory Tease!

If you want a tasteful evening, with food being the key ingredient, Hakkasan Mumbai is the place to be for a multi-sensorial experience…

Hakkasan isn’t just a regular dining place. It’s an upmarket, luxury Cantonese dining joint frequented by celebrities such as Jacqueline Fernandez, Shahid and Mira Kapoor and Sunny Leone. Their food menu is tightly curated while the drinks menu is exhaustive. In fact, the latter is a tome, and if you are spoilt for choice, the place offers plenty of options. But, to be definitely tried are the new dishes curated by Chef Andy Toh Chye Siong, who works as an Executive Chef in Hakkasan, Middle East. Their new menu comprises soups, dimsums, wok dishes, desserts and dishes like black truffle roast duck, lobster shumai, mapo sauce vegetable dumplings, grilled black cod with truffle sauce, sweet and sour chicken with pomegranate, wok lobster in Chinese and honey and black pepper, truffle bean curd roll and steamed tofu with vegetables in lotus leaf, to name a few. Some of these dishes are already stars in their Dubai and Abu Dhabi outlets. We suggest you to pair these newbies with some Mumbai special drinks, especially Chumo Shen, a turmeric cocktail that has a bursting flavour of raw turmeric to it. Speaking about service, it’s fluid.

The servers are enthusiastic, knowledgeable about the menu, but not obtrusive and annoying. A dinner at Hakkasan goes beyond food, it is an experience, touching upon various sensory points: smell, sight, taste, touch and hear. Go, if you want to experience an evening that goes beyond ‘basic dining’. Because, Hakkasan, is anything but basic. It’s sets a new standard.
