One For Our Heroes
A NEW brand of clothing boasts of being heroic, quite literally! Called Helping our Heroes (HOH), this modest fashion brand, spearheaded by Farhat Khan and Farah Khan Antelawala, presents a line of affordable clothing to fuel a significant cause. The sales from HOH aims at supporting families of soldiers in need of financial help along with providing the required funds to struggling sportsmen, who need that one platform to achieve their milestones. The duo has already been supporting the family of Martyr Eknath Mane, who lost his life serving the Indian army in 1982 and left his young wife, Suman, and two kids to fend for themselves. Suman has already lost her son to cancer and has a monthly loan to repay. HOH has come to her rescue by taking care of her loans from their sales. About the founders of this unique and inspiring initiative, Farah is a psychologist and former aspiring hockey player, who has now taken up the reins of fashion designing for HOH. While Farhat is trying to change the workings of CSR activities in the corporate world in India from UK, where he lives. If that means shelling out his savings to support the cause he believes in, so be it. “Coming from the field of psychology, I understand the trauma the families of soldiers go through for the rest of their life and hence, we want to give them the platform to share their financial and emotional stress,” says Farah. Support a wonderful cause by making HOH your next shopping destination. Visit their website for more info.
