Who can par­tic­i­pate in The Ar­ti­san - Jew­ellery De­sign Awards 2014?

En­try is open to an in­di­vid­ual or an in­di­vid­ual part­ner­ing with a com­pany. No com­pany will be al­lowed to par­tic­i­pate with­out an in­di­vid­ual. Both the in­di­vid­ual and the com­pany will get due recog­ni­tion.

How many sketches/en­tries can I sub­mit?

An in­di­vid­ual can sub­mit a max­i­mum of 2 sketches un­der 2 cat­e­gories and a com­pany can sub­mit 4 sketches in to­tal — un­der 4 cat­e­gories (i.e. two in­di­vid­u­als can par­tic­i­pate per com­pany). Jew­ellery de­signs can be sub­mit­ted un­der any of the fol­low­ing cat­e­gories: • Monochro­matic Magic • Golden Glory • Colourama • The Avant-Garde

What or­na­ments are el­i­gi­ble for The Ar­ti­san?

Only wear­able or­na­ments. No ac­ces­sories.

How do I reg­is­ter my­self for The Ar­ti­san?

You need to sub­mit your par­tic­i­pa­tion ap­pli­ca­tion on­line, as ap­pli­ca­tions are ac­cepted ONLY through the on­line process. Once you com­plete your on­line process; you need to print the ac­knowl­edge­ment and paste it to the orig­i­nal sketch to be sub­mit­ted. The orig­i­nal sketch should be made on an A3 size sheet, mounted on thick card pa­per and should be sent to the GJEPC of­fice on or be­fore 15th Au­gust, 2014. Please do not frame or lam­i­nate the sketch.

Will scanned or emailed sketches be ac­cepted?

Scanned or emailed sketches will not be ac­cepted.

What is the dead­line of sub­mit­ting sketches?

The dead­line for sub­mit­ting sketches is Au­gust 15, 2014.

How should I send the sketches?

The orig­i­nal sketch has to be sent to the GJEPC of­fice on or be­fore Au­gust 15, 2014, which has to be made on an A3 size sheet mounted on thick card pa­per. Please do not frame or lam­i­nate the sketch.

What is the par­tic­i­pa­tion fee?

En­try to the com­pe­ti­tion is free.

Can I use an ex­ist­ing sketch/piece, which has been sub­mit­ted to some other com­pe­ti­tion?

Any sketch/piece sub­mit­ted to any other jew­ellery de­sign com­pe­ti­tion will be in­stantly dis­qual­i­fied.

As an in­di­vid­ual if I go to the next level which is man­u­fac­tur­ing, what hap­pens if I don’t have sup­port to fab­ri­cate the prod­uct?

The Coun­cil has tied up with a few man­u­fac­tur­ers who will fab­ri­cate the prod­uct on your be­half.
