PGI Hosts Second Platinum Buyer-Seller Meet
Platinum Guild International (PGI) India organised the second season of the Platinum Buyer-Seller Meet, a leading platform for manufacturers and retailers to explore the wide range of platinum jewellery, from July 5th to 7th 2017 in Chennai. The aim of the meet was to showcase new product category opportunities, as well as introduce new designs developed by manufacturers for the upcoming festive season.
The meet commenced with the ‘Season of Love’ awards, where the key retailers and their staff, who promoted the campaign with enthusiasm and contributed to the sales of platinum jewellery, were felicitated. The 2017 edition of ‘Season of Love’ was celebrated across all leading platinum jewellery retailers across India, from May 15th to June 15th 2017 and had special offers available for customers on the purchase of platinum jewellery. The number of participating retailers grew from 140 doors last year to 600+ doors this year.
The meet witnessed participation from nine manufacturers including Kama Schachter, BN Jewellers, Emerald, Tankaria’s, Uni-Design Jewellery, Prism Jewellery, Jewelex and Oro, who presented a diverse portfolio of over 4,500 pieces together that included a range of bestsellers and new developments in core categories like Love Bands, Evara and Men’s jewellery. The event was attended by leading PGI strategic retail partners, which saw an overwhelming turnout.
