BVC, a leading Indian secure logistics firm specialising in precious cargo, has been certified as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) by the India Customs authorities. BVC joins an exclusive club of around 60 Indian companies to be accredited with this prestigious status.

The AEO accreditation is part of the trusted trader programme of the World Customs Organization, aiming to acknowledge customs brokers, freight forwarders and cargo carriers that have strong processes and financial strength. To gain the accreditation, companies must pass strict security standards and operational and risk management criteria.

“We’re honoured and humbled to receive this prestigious accreditation from the Customs and it’s incredibly motivating for team BVC to work harder toward our vision. We will continue to strive to offer seamless end-to-end solutions to our clients,” said Uday Chinai, chairman and managing director, BVC Group of Companies.

Chinai noted that the global recognition of AEO by Customs authorities the world over would lead to faster customs clearance and minimal physical examination along with other benefits at both the origin and destination countries.
