IIGJ Mum­bai Stu­dents Hold Work­shop For Spe­cially-abled Youth

In­dian In­sti­tute of Gems & Jew­ellery (IIGJ) Mum­bai said that as part of its so­cial ini­tia­tive called Inaya, stu­dents of its de­gree pro­gramme con­ducted a jew­ellery work­shop for spe­cially-abled youth at the Ro­tary San­skard­ham Academy in Gore­gaon, Mum­bai, on Au­gust 13th.

Some 25 chil­dren with spe­cial needs, hear­ing and speech im­pair­ment, and other dis­abil­i­ties par­tic­i­pated in the day-long ac­tiv­ity, which in­cluded cre­at­ing nail paint flow­ers, pearl neck­laces and bracelets, dream­catch­ers, ter­ra­cotta jew­ellery and more. Through Inaya, IIGJ Mum­bai aims at ac­tively en­gag­ing its stu­dents to cre­ate a pos­i­tive im­pact on the en­vi­ron­ment and so­ci­ety.
