The world’s largest air­craft man­u­fac­turer Boe­ing se­cured a $7.2 bil­lion deal to sup­ply 75 ad­vanced Boe­ing 737 Max air­craft to Air Lease Cor­po­ra­tion (ALC) of the USA at the re­cently held Farn­bor­ough Air Show in the UK. The or­der in­cludes 60 737 Max 8 and 15 737 Max 9 air­planes with re­con­fir­ma­tion rights for ad­di­tional 25, 737 Max. This is the first or­der for the first 737 Max by a leas­ing com­pany. Boe­ing’s new­est fam­ily of air­craft 737 Max in­cor­po­rates the lat­est­tech­nol­ogy LEAP-1B en­gines de­vel­oped by CFM In­ter­na­tional to de­liver high­est ef­fi­ciency, re­li­a­bil­ity and pas­sen­ger com­fort in the sin­gle-aisle mar­ket. The first flight of the Boe­ing 737 Max is sched­uled in 2016 and de­liv­er­ies are expected to be­gin in the fourth quar­ter of 2017.
