Delta Air Lines has an­nounced on May 11, 2017 that it has selected CFM In­ter­na­tional’s CFM56-5B en­gine to power 30 ad­di­tional A-321ceo air­craft. These air­craft will join more than 200 CFM-pow­ered A-319/A-320/A-321 air­craft Delta cur­rently op­er­ates.

As part of a special cer­e­mony held on May 31 and wit­nessed by Viet­nam’s Prime Min­is­ter Nguyen Xuan Phuc and US Sec­re­tary of Com­merce Wil­bur L Ross, Jr, Vi­etJet Air has an­nounced an or­der for 20 CFM In­ter­na­tional CFM56-5B en­gines to power 10 new Air­bus A-321ceo air­craft. The agree­ment is val­ued at $580 mil­lion in­clud­ing 20 in­stalled en­gines, two spare en­gines and a long-term sup­port agree­ment.
