Ban­sky art­work stolen from Kate Moss’ home

Pre­cious art­work in­clud­ing a £80,000 Banksy por­trait was stolen from Kate Moss’ home in May 2010. Thieves raided the model’s £7 mil­lion home in Maida Vale, North Lon­don, when Kate, her part­ner Jamie Hince and mother Linda, were re­ported to be asleep.

Art works of guerilla artist Banksy have been un­der at­tack by thieves many a times. In 2007, 10 prints worth about £10,000 were stolen from a branch of Art Repub­lic in Brighton. Like­wise, Banksy prints over £16,000 was snatched by a man and woman from an art gallery in New Compton Street, Cen­tral Lon­don in May 2010. Banksy has been in news for his re­cent sten­cils, “Hack­ney Wel­comes the Olympics” and “Go­ing for Mould”, both re­lated to Lon­don Olympics.
