Post-de­liv­er­ies Tex­tron looks for­ward to Aero In­dia

As re­ported by SP’s M.A.I. ear­lier, the In­dian Air Force re­cently be­gan tak­ing de­liv­ery of Tex­tron De­fense CBU-105 sen­sor fuzed mu­ni­tions for its Jaguar jets. The com­pany has an­nounced its par­tic­i­pa­tion in Aero In­dia 2013, tak­ing place from Fe­bru­ary 6-10 at Air Force Sta­tion at Ye­la­hanka, Bengaluru.

To mark Tex­tron’s first big mil­i­tary sale to In­dia with cus­tomers and part­ners, Tex­tron Sys­tems’ new Pres­i­dent and Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer, Ellen Lord, will be present at the show. Lord, who was named CEO in Oc­to­ber 2012, pre­vi­ously served as Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent and Gen­eral Man­ager of Tex­tron De­fense Sys­tems. “Aero In­dia 2013 is a won­der­ful op­por­tu­nity to dis­cuss emerg­ing re­quire­ments, and en­gage with po­ten­tial cus­tomers on how Tex­tron Sys­tems’ prod­ucts and so­lu­tions can best meet them,” she said. “Tex­tron Sys­tems has es­tab­lished strong re­la­tion­ships with the In­dian Government, armed forces and se­cu­rity agen­cies, as well as in­dus­try part­ners, and we are vested in grow­ing that pres­ence even more. Key in­dus­try meet­ings like Aero In­dia 2013 and our on­go­ing ac­tiv­i­ties as part of the larger Tex­tron en­ter­prise, in­clud­ing Tex­tron In­dia Pri­vate Lim­ited, are crit­i­cal to achiev­ing that goal.”
