Honey­well fo­cuses on mil­i­tary plat­forms

Honey­well, which was is­sued an RFP in Oc­to­ber last year for the muchan­tic­i­pated Jaguar re-en­gin­ing con­tract, will be at Aero In­dia in a big way this year as well. While fo­cus­ing on con­clud­ing a deal for the F-125 IN en­gine for the In­dian Air Force’s Jaguar fleet, the US firm will also be show­cas­ing sup­port pack­ages for in­dige­nous mil­i­tary plat­forms in­clud­ing the ALH Dhruv, light com­bat heli­copter and HJT-36 Si­tara in­ter­me­di­ate jet trainer. The com­pany is also a par­tic­i­pant in other pro­grammes, pro­vid­ing safety and me­chan­i­cal sys­tems in the P-8I pro­gramme for the In­dian Navy, the C-130J fleet and the yet to be con­cluded medium multi-role com­bat air­craft bid.

The com­pany will also be show­cas­ing sol­dier pro­tec­tion sys­tems, in­clud­ing the Spec­tra Shield se­ries of pro­tec­tive plates. The com­pany lists its key tech­nol­ogy pur­suits as the F-125 IN en­gine for the IAF Jaguar, T-Hawk mi­cro-air ve­hi­cle, ad­vanced medium com­bat air­craft, multi-role trans­port air­craft and light com­bat heli­copter.
