LWE ap­pre­hended


Inderjeet alias Kapil Ya­dav, op­er­a­tion com­man­der of eastern re­gional bureau com­pany of CPI (Maoist) and a close as­so­ciate of Arvin­dji alias Deo Kumar Singh, Cen­tral Com­mit­tee Mem­ber of the CPI (Maoist), op­er­at­ing in the Koel Sankh area of Jhark­hand and bor­der­ing ar­eas of Gaya in Bi­har, was ap­pre­hended re­cently when he was un­der­go­ing treat­ment.

He was in­jured dur­ing an en­counter on June 12, 2013, in which there was a heavy ex­change of fire in an area near Ku­mandih rail­way sta­tion un­der Manika po­lice sta­tion lim­its in Late­har dis­trict, be­tween the Maoists and troops of 209 CO­BRA, 11th Batal­lion of CRPF and Jhark­hand Jaguars. The se­cu­rity forces re­grouped and stayed in the area till the morn­ing of June 13, duly re­turn­ing the fire in which four Maoists were in­jured.

Inderjeet had been op­er­at­ing as an ‘Op­er­a­tion Com­man­der’ of Maoists and was re­port­edly in­volved in ma­jor in­ci­dents of Naxal vi­o­lence in Jhark­hand.
