Raytheon de­liv­ers 2,000th multi-spec­tral tar­get­ing sys­tem

Raytheon achieved a his­toric first with the de­liv­ery of its 2,000th multi-spec­tral tar­get­ing sys­tem (MTS) from its fac­tory in McKin­ney, Texas. As the lead­ing provider of elec­tro-op­ti­cal, in­frared, laser des­ig­na­tion and laser il­lu­mi­na­tion ca­pa­bil­i­ties in­te­grated into a sin­gle sen­sor pack­age, Raytheon of­fers de­tect­ing, rang­ing, track­ing and pre­ci­sion fire con­trol ca­pa­bil­i­ties for a wide range of cus­tomers.

The MTS prod­uct fam­ily, which in­cludes the US Army’s Com­mon Sen­sor Pay­load, has been in­te­grated on 35 dif­fer­ent plat­forms, for ev­ery branch of the US mil­i­tary and var­i­ous in­ter­na­tional part­ner coun­tries. MTS plat­forms in­clude un­manned aerial ve­hi­cles, manned fixed-wing air­craft and ro­tary-wing air­craft.
