Har­ris Cor­po­ra­tion bags or­ders for Fal­con ra­dios from NATO coun­try

Har­ris Cor­po­ra­tion, an in­ter­na­tional com­mu­ni­ca­tions and in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy com­pany, has re­ceived $21 mil­lion in or­ders from a NATO coun­try for Fal­con multiband tac­ti­cal ra­dios.

The na­tion is ac­quir­ing Fal­con III AN/ PRC-117G man­pack and AN/PRC-152A hand­held ra­dios that will pro­vide spe­cial forces and Army soldiers with wide­band net­work­ing ca­pa­bil­i­ties, as well line-of-sight, ground-to-air and tac­ti­cal satel­lite voice and data com­mu­ni­ca­tions.

“Har­ris ra­dios pro­vide lead­ing-edge ca­pa­bil­i­ties in wire­less tac­ti­cal com­mu­ni­ca­tions for un­prece­dented sit­u­a­tional aware­ness on the bat­tle­field,’’ said Bren­dan O’Con­nell, Pres­i­dent, In­ter­na­tional Busi­ness, Har­ris RF Com­mu­ni­ca­tions. “Fal­con III en­ables high-band­width ap­pli­ca­tions such as stream­ing video, si­mul­ta­ne­ous voice and data feeds, col­lab­o­ra­tive chat, con­nec­tiv­ity to se­cure net­works and in­ter­op­er­a­ble com­bat net ra­dio.’’
