Arse­nal star David Ospina’s £16-mil­lion house bro­ken into

Burglars re­cently raided pro­fes­sional foot­baller David Ospina’s £16-mil­lion Lon­don house and stole the keys to his Mercedes while his wife and chil­dren slept up­stairs, it has been re­vealed. The two cul­prits, who also stole keys to the house, took his £1,00,000 car for a joyride be­fore aban­don­ing it in the cap­i­tal, re­ports the Lon­don Evening Stan­dard.

Arse­nal and Colom­bia goal­keeper Ospina was away on in­ter­na­tional duty at the time for a World Cup qual­i­fier against Peru.

But Ospina’s wife, Jesica Ster­ling, and chil­dren were asleep up­stairs dur­ing the raid.

The 27-year-old lives in the ex­clu­sive north Lon­don area of Hamp­stead Gar­den Sub­urb. Ster­ling, a model, re­vealed she now feels un­safe at night and claimed the bur­glary ap­peared to have been care­fully planned.

The joyrid­den car was later dis­cov­ered 10 km away at Wem­b­ley Park.

A Met­ro­pol­i­tan Po­lice spokesman re­vealed that they were in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent. He said: “Keys to a car were stolen and the ve­hi­cle sub­se­quently taken. The car was later re­cov­ered in the Wem­b­ley Park area. No ar­rests have been made at this time and enquiries con­tinue.”
