RUAG opens re­pair cen­tre in Subang, Malaysia

The of­fi­cial open­ing of the new RUAG Avi­a­tion com­po­nent re­pair cen­tre in Subang, Malaysia, con­firms the air­craft provider’s com­mit­ment to the re­gion. The cen­tre serves the com­pany’s po­si­tion as a com­po­nent ser­vices hub for avi­a­tion cus­tomers and OEMs in Asia. The an­nounce­ment of the open­ing fol­lows on a suc­cess­ful au­dit and Euro­pean Avi­a­tion Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 ap­proval.

The open­ing for­malises and con­firms RUAG Avi­a­tion in its role as an es­tab­lished sup­plier, life-cy­cle sup­port provider and in­te­gra­tor of sys­tems and com­po­nents for civil and mil­i­tary avi­a­tion based in Malaysia serv­ing the Asia re­gion. Through this in­vest­ment it re­in­forces the com­pany’s com­mit­ment to the Malaysian aero­space in­dus­try and fur­ther de­vel­ops the tech­ni­cal ca­pa­bil­i­ties us­in­glo­cal work­force en­gag­ing in ef­fec­tive knowl­edge shar­ing and skills.

RUAG Avi­a­tion Malaysia is es­tab­lish­ing this new cen­tre to pro­vide main­te­nance, re­pair and over­haul (MRO) ser­vices for air­craft com­po­nents. “To ful­fil our cus­tomer ex­pec­ta­tions in the re­gion we closely co­op­er­ate with them and part­ner with se­lected OEMs“, said David Jones, Gen­eral Man­ager of RUAG Avi­a­tion Malaysia. “The suc­cess­ful au­dit by the Swiss Fed­eral Of­fice of Civil Avi­a­tion (FOCA) com­bined with EASA Part 145 ap­proval af­firms and sup­ports our ob­jec­tive to be­come the part­ner of choice.”

Proven MRO ca­pa­bil­i­ties on air­craft from the world’s lead­ing OEMs have es­tab­lished RUAG Avi­a­tion as a trusted and re­li­able part­ner for air­craft op­er­a­tors in the in­ter­na­tional mar­ket.
