How did your jour­ney in Bol­ly­wood be­gin? It be­gan six years ago. I’m 22 now and started this jour­ney when I was 16. I started with a com­mer­cial and was then called to au­di­tion for Is­saq be­cause of that com­mer­cial. It just went on from there, and here I am sit­ting in front of you to­day. Though my first stint in Bol­ly­wood was be­cause of the ad, I never wanted to model, but al­ways wanted to act. I was not so much of a Bol­ly­wood buff, and I didn’t think that I would ever be­come a part of Bol­ly­wood. I thought I would do English theatre to ful­fill my pas­sion for act­ing.

How did you bag KungFuYoga? I was shoot­ing for my film Ticket To Bol­ly­wood and when I came back to In­dia I got a call from cast­ing di­rec­tor Mukesh Chab­bra. By then I had al­ready signed two South films, and told him that I won’t be able to do the film be­cause my dates were blocked. He told me to shut up and to give the damn au­di­tion. I did the au­di­tion and then there was no news about it. I didn’t hear from Mukesh for three weeks.
