Dear

Stardust (English) - - NEWS -

I loved your work in Mastizaade, and I also follow you on Twitter. Recently, you tweeted about Priyanka Chopra presenting an award at the Oscars. Now when we see many people going to Hollywood, do you feel getting a ticket to Hollywood is easy today? Ashley D’Mello (Mumbai)

VIR: I don’t think it’s easy at all, though we don’t live in a world where we cannot access each other. It’s not like Hollywood is not aware of Indian films or Indian talent. Every Indian actor does not audition for Homeland. If Nimrat (Kaur) does Homeland, you can assume that 200 actresses from India auditioned for that role. These agencies don’t just sign anybody, so it’s a pretty tough process. And yes, Priyanka Chopra has cracked that Western market and how! She is unashamedly multitalented and I love her for that.
