Your last film KisKiskoPyaarKaroon, didn’t have a unique concept. Don’t you feel it was a very dicey choice to make? More so as you debuted with a guy from the television industry and in your second film, you did the same. Didn’t you feel it was a risky proposition? Priety Shinde (Goa)
ELLI: My film was a complete entertainer, so I don’t think my choice was dicey. And yes, this question of television actors is quite funny. But I’d like to say that I don’t like to judge anyone for being from television. They are very talented. And when I hear a script, I don’t bother to check who is opposite me. I see what the script is about. Casting for the other roles is not my call, I don’t believe that I only have to work with certain people. I am happy to do a nice script and a nice role, and that is the only thing I worry about. Even though Mickey Virus didn’t do well, I was critically appreciated, and that makes a big difference. Kapil Sharma is very talented and huge in the television industry. The script was tailormade for him. For me, getting to work with Abbas Mastan sir was a big thing. I felt very honoured and blessed!
