Neeta's Natter

Stardust (English) - - NEWS -

Recently at an awards function before leaving, Kareena Kapoor Khan was posing for pictures on the red carpet. And in walked ex beau, the gorgeous Shahid Kapoor. But when he saw the Begum striking poses, he froze. But before the shutterbugs could ask him to pose with Kareena, he took a step back and hastily moved away from the red carpet. Is it because he didn’t want to get clicked with Kareena or would one Ms Mira Kapoor throw a fit if he even dared to open the ‘X’ files?

But whatever it was, it sure put Kareena Kapoor Khan in a bad mood. No wonder, she was throwing tantrums galore at the media interaction. One journalist actually asked her, ‘ Aap ka mood acha nahi hai kya?’ Pat came a stinging reply from the Begum herself… ‘ Abhi chalo 12 baj gaye hai, ghar jaana hai, chalo now, say fast’. And we thought late night events and parties were Bebo’s fave. Hmmm!

Talking about tantrums, seems like a subtle cat fight is at play between the upcoming debutantes of Bollywood. Yes, we’re talking about Jahnvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan who were at one time best of friends and would be seen together at lunches, dinners and brunches. But alas, all is not well between the two. Supposedly, everything was hunky dory until their film poster’s first look was released. Since then, these two gorgeous beauties haven’t been seen hanging out together, well not even at the parties... Hmmm looks like the competition is on the rise now.

Perhaps it’s because of Big Daddy Karan Johar? Perhaps both these pretty gals want to be his fave. But hey, guess what… both aren’t! KJo’s new fave is the very gorgeous Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar. At a recent event, Karan was all praises for Manushi and showered her with hugs and kisses. Is she going to be a part of the KJo gang? Will she have an entry as grand as Alia Bhatt on the big screen? Only time will tell…

Celebrities usually take an off from work to have some fun on their vacay mode but Parineeti rolls her dice a different way, While shooting, Pari took off for a day and went trekking with her crew members. Dressed in a black tracksuit and bright pink shoes, the effervescent actor was super energetic. While her team got tired and trudged slowly, Pari was all smiles and was briskly walking at high speed. This gal definitely is on a high!

Talking about highs, we have to face that Golmaal Again is indeed a major hit and has collected umpteen crores. But let’s face it… it was just a silly flick made for the masses. So it’s surprising that Ajay makes it sound like he has done an award winning dramatic film. He is quoted in a daily paper talking about what appeals to him about a film, ‘The story has to touch your heart or inspire you, you can’t be insecure and say, let’s add a song or an action sequence or some commercial angle to it just for the sake of it. If a script touches your heart, it will touch everyone’s heart provided it is made with that

honesty’. He adds further that the audience today has international exposure and that ‘keeps you on your toes’. To understand these heavy duty observations makes me wonder, should I again see Golmaal Again. In case there was some deep philosophical message that I did not understand.

But I must admit, however, that the film has kept Kunal Kemmu and Tusshar Kapoor away from the unemployment’s line. So they have something else to talk about besides flaunting their children’s pictures or celebrating their birthday parties. Thank you Rohit Shetty!

That brings me to the new film that Shah Rukh Khan and Anand Rai are making which is untitled. Strangely enough, everyone keeps referring to Shah Rukh Khan’s character as a ‘dwarf’. May be somebody should explain to them that ‘dwarf’ is a derogatory term. It’s like calling a Black American ‘nigger’ or a Maharashtrian ‘ ghati’. I thought these educated gentlemen would know that the correct word is ‘little men’. Tut Tut!

There’s another shocking news that’s making people go, ‘Oh No!’ The buzz is that Anil Kapoor who did such a wonderful job in Shankar’s

social drama hit Nayak: The Real

Hero will not feature in the sequel according to the makers. They want a fresh star in the sequel and incidentally, the film too will also have a new director. The film has been in the pre-production for a long time but one wonders if Anil Kapoor’s jhakaas performance can be bettered in the sequel by anybody else? Let’s hope so… for the maker’s sake who have brought the rights to the movie at a sky high price.

She’s got her heart in the right place. Yes, it’s the gorgeous Daisy Shah who very cutely adopted a li’l pup at the Adopathon 2017 organised by the World For All Animal Care & Adoptions (WFA). Supposedly, one look at the puppy eyes of the li’l fellow and Daisy instantly fell in love. She says, “The minute I held him, he started licking my face and biting my fingers... I just couldn’t resist adopting him.” Daisy has named him Kiki so the Kiki and Daisy love affair continues….

Raj Kummar Rao is a busy bee and how! After the success of his two films Newton and Bareilly Ki Barfi, he now has no dates to give to any of his forthcoming projects as he is busy with his Balaji ALT web series Bose: Dead/Alive and Fanney Khan. Besides, he had an accident on the sets and his leg was fractured and the shoot of Fanney Khan had to be postponed. Take care Raj Kummar! Success is very fickle. Some days, you’re rising high, on others, you plummet to the ground. OOOOO

Two very talented singer musician brothers Armaan Malik and Amaal Malik are supposedly not seeing eye-toeye and their parents can’t do anything about it. Apparently, the sibling rivalry is much deeper, though they put on a façade of being loving brothers but the inside story is that they have anything but brotherly feelings for each other. It’s time the Malik’s sort out their family problems before they hit a false note in their musical career!

Can you imagine a film of JP Dutta without Abhishek Bachchan? But, supposedly, Abhishek has walked out of his mentor JP Dutta’s forthcoming war saga Paltan. Supposedly, he had even been signed up and everything was hunky

But the buzz doing the ‘rounds is that the divalicious Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the one who is advising Junior Bachchan on his career these days. Supposedly, she is apparently not happy with the way her hubby Abhishek Bachchan’s career is progressing and has asked him to change his PR Team which has been with him for a long time. But this time round Ash is hell-bent on taking matters in her hands and making things right for Abhi. Patni Ho To Aisi! What say!

Vicky Kaushal, the new star on the horizon, is a busy actor and his date diary is full. Fine! But does that mean he can’t even sit through a script reading session by his mentor Anurag Kashyap? Poor Anurag was seen twiddling his thumb on the sets of Vicky’s film, waiting for the star. Is this the case of a star becoming too big for his boots even before he has tasted success? Talking about being on a high horse, Queen Kangana Ranaut is being difficult at the shoot of her own ambitious biopic Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. Supposedly, she’s constantly throwing tantrums and is giving her director Krish a tough time as she is seen directing the film herself. So the atmosphere on the sets is anything but homely. Pull up your socks, Kangs and get working! Or else you will be a Rani of yore! Talking about another perfectionist, Aamir Khan who was slated to star in the biopic of India’s famed astronaut Rakesh Sharma has apparently opted out of the film. The reasons cited are apparently date problems but according to reliable sources, the pre-production took a lot of time and Aamir lost all interest in it. And after the success of Dangal and Secret Superstar, he has moved on to fresher pastures. …Guess Aamir refuses to touch the skies just yet! Talking about Secret Superstar, supposedly Aamir’s protégé Zaira Waseem is making headlines again. Not only has she got her alleged molester arrested. Some man had supposedly molested her on a flight and she had taken to twitter to complain about her ordeal. Anyway, kanoon ka lamba haath got the man behind bars. But strangely enough the teenage actor is in the docks too. The Twitterati apparently dragged Zaira’s mom’s pro-Pakistan posts out and so this young actor is now being trolled like crazy. Of course, the razor sharp tongued Zaira is fighting back… Well, looks like the real Dangal has just began…

Talking about Dangal, there has been much ado about Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Memoir. Though he has withdrawn his autobiography because he had received a lot of flak of being accused of “exploiting and disrespecting” women to sell his autobiography besides being slapped by a legal notice. He has now put the blame on his ‘inner Manto’. Nawaz, who is playing the role of Sadat Hasan Manto in Nandita Das’s film, says, “Yeh sach maine nahin, mere andar ke Manto ne bulwaya tha. Mujhe Manto mein jo sabse achhi baat lagi, woh yeh thi ki unhone apni life mein jo sach dekha, wohi likha.”

Three seasons ago when Rohit Shetty was a guest on Koffee With Karan, he hinted that he was going to team up with Karan for a film. Well, wait no more! He has teamed up with KJo for the first time for a film titled Simmba starring Ranveer Singh. While the first poster is out, it’s evident that we have a new badass cop in B’town, and he is Ranveer who plays Sangram Bhalerao. And though the poster looks super slick, the film will only release one year later. Howz that for a new gimmick?

Talking about gimmicks, Arjun Kapoor was in the news. Supposedly, a drunk fan had manhandled him and created quite a ruckus so much so that the cops had to be called. It made headlines in a frontliner newspaper. But when we asked Arjun about it, he dismissed it all off as ‘false news’! Super strange this!

dory before Abhishek made this surprising move. Wonder what went wrong… But whatever it is, hope the duo can solve it over a drink or two!
