Stardust (English) - - COVER STORY -

At 66, though she’s no more the sexy Zeenie Babe of the ‘80s known for her incredibly HOT bikini bod and bindaas nature, she’s still the epitome of grace. Today, she’s mellowed down and prefers to live her life away from the arc lights. And though she has been seen in the web series Love Life & Screw Ups, it is a fact that Zeenat has made it a point to stay away from Mumbai’s buzzing social circuit. In fact, just recently, after quite a long hiatus, we spotted the charming lady at the Society Achiever’s Awards 2018, an indeed, she was a sight to behold. So it was with a lot of shock that we found out from our ever churning Bollywood grapevine that Zeenat was embroiled in a very tumultuous relationship with a businessman for some time. And the relationship had ended on a very sour note. After which the veteran actor totally cut off all ties with the man, many years her junior. However, the besotted exlover refused to give up. And he incessantly deluged her with text messages and calls – some of which were extremely nasty and lewd in tone. For quite some time, Zeenat supposedly ignored the man completely. And despite multiple warnings, the obsesssed man continued to stalk her. Things came to a boil when he supposedly entered her premises, created a huge ruckus and had a scuffle with the security guard. It was then that Zeenat filed a complaint at the Juhu police station. The FIRs filed by her was under Sections 304 D (stalking) and 509 (insulting modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code according to the police station. The businessman was arrested by the Juhu Police. Though Zeenat Aman refused to comment on the case, the businessman supposedly gave an interview to a tabloid wherein he said that he and the veteran actor were in a relationship, and he also invested a good amount of money in her son’s film. He allegedly said, “I was in love with her, but she was not serious. I did not approve of her other male friends but she would never listen and continued to be with them. When I decided to cut off ties with her and asked for the money I had invested in her son’s film, she refused to give it back. This is why she registered a false case against me.” The Juhu police station are still investigating matters but we do hope that Zeenat Aman can finally live her life peacefully, without the threat of being continuously stalked by a besotted ex-lover.
