Actor Naseeruddin Shah is one of the most illustrious personas in the Hindi Film Industry. His arduous journey during his early years honed this uber talented actor’s skills and he turned out to be the find of the industry after acting in several award winning ‘art’ films. But serious films didn’t make him lose his zest for life and love. Perhaps, it was his wife Ratna Pathak Shah (who came into his life two years post this interview), that helped anchor this powerhouse performer. And from there on there was certainly no looking back for this thespian. After earning many accolades and awards like the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan and several National and other film awards, this stellar performer who acted in films like Sparsh, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Junoon, Mandi, Masoom, Albert Pinto ko Gussa Kyu Aata Hai, Arth, A Wednesday, The Dirty Picture, Ishqiya and more, cemented his position as one of the most unparalleled actors of our country. On the personal front, his daughter from his first wife Heeba now stays with him. His two sons from Ratna Pathak Shah, Imaad and Vivaan too have jumped onto the bandwagon and are proving their mettle as actors in Bollywood. Indeed, like fine wine, Naseeruddin Shah too has mellowed with age but his acting prowess still remains as sharp and on point as ever.
