India: Size Stream to bring 3D body scanning technology
Size Stream, a leader in providing 3D body scanning solutions, is mulling over expanding the reach of its size measurement technology in the Indian market. It has chosen Pelican Group as its distribution partner.

This will help Size Stream in providing its products to apparel retailers and manufacturers, who aim to offer ‘perfect fit’ to their customers. “Retailers actively try to enhance customer experience and influence their purchase decisions in different ways. The company’s products will be a great benefit to retailers looking for a solution in the same,” explained Ashit Parik, Chief Executive Officer, Pelican. Size Stream will first introduce its SS20 3D Body Scanner for the Indian market. This scanner is equipped with 20 infrared depth sensors that scan the body from four angles and at five different heights in about 4 seconds in a single go. The scanner, connected with Size Stream’s proprietary software, provides body information such as 3D landmarks, circumferences, lengths, surface areas. Additionally, it captures body shape, posture and volume as well.
The 3D avatar created with the help of the SS20 3D Body Scanner can be used for different applications like customized clothing, size prediction, 3D printing, measurement tracking, size surveys, fit and medical evaluation.
Already gaining interest from retailers for its technology, Size Stream is also planning to establish a manufacturing facility in the country to counter transportation costs.
