Shortening of lead times have led garment manufacturers to aggressively focus on cost cutting and also streamline their supply chains. The highly competitive atmosphere and the more stringent ecological parameters make way for innovations and changes in the present processes. Garment washing and finishing is one such process that has essentially adopted the global standards. Pioneer in garment finishing machines, laundry equipment and dry-cleaning equipment, Xcel Stiro is catching up with this trend to stimulate customer satisfaction.

“Till the time we don’t have our service centre, we don’t sell our products in that city. But the scenario has completly changed after the company’s tie-up with IIGM which runs its own office in Ahmedabad. With this joint venture, Xcel Stiro is showing its sturdy presence in the untapped potential market,” adds Deepak Chawla, Director, Xcel Stiro.

Despite the emergence of the textile industry in Ahmedabad, the fact cannot be denied that the textile industry must look at providing a one-stop ‘sustainable’ solution along the whole textile value chain from pre-treatment, through dyeing to finishing. The need of the hour is to impart an understanding of ‘environment impact minimization’ to the textile industry owners.

“We have always promoted eco-friendly processes through our products which is our long term goal too. In this event, we have showcased those products which counterbalance the harmful effects of the present day chemicals in the textile and garment finishing process,” claims Deepak assertively.

To reach out to the market, Xcel Stiro participated at GTE Ahmedabad and displayed products which cater to primarily three industries: Garment, Processing, and Hospitality. Perc

Dry cleaning machine, DC-100, was one of the products that caught the attention of the visitors. DC-100 is a rare combination of innovation and technical expertise. The machine uses Perchloroethylene (Perc), a special solvent carrier, for the cleaning process. The solvent has strong detergent qualities and it’s quite aggressive with all kinds of dirt. The machine operates as a closed cycle with in-built distillation and recovery system where solvent and solvent vapours stay inside the machine, making them friendly to the user and the environment. The end result is fresh looking garments with impeccable finish without any shrinkage and smell.

As aptly stated by Deepak,“The machine uniquely stands out in the market as highly advanced and one of its kind with optional water/oilbased perc recovery unit. It reduces power consumption by up to 20%.”

XST 30 softener washing machine with dryer was also up on display at the show. The machine is made from Italian technology. The garments in this machine are softened and dried
