CAMBODIA: INDIA’S METHODS APPAREL JOINS FORCES WITH CGTI, CAMBODIA
Methods Apparel Consultancy India Pvt. Ltd. has collaborated with the recently opened Cambodian Garment Training Institute ( CGTI) which is established by the Garment Manufacturing Association of Cambodia ( GMAC). The Indian consultancy firm has expanded its reach in Cambodia on a large scale to train local manpower of the garment industry with this collaboration.
The Cambodian Government plans to enhance the skills and knowledge of the working professionals from across the globe through CGTI to create a competitive advantage for Cambodia and boost the nation’s growth in the apparel/industry. Methods Apparel has joined forces with Cambodia to capitalize on this upskilling exercise.

Team StitchWorld, Sunaina Khanna, Director, Methods Apparel, stated, “This is another milestone achieved by Methods in the emerging Cambodian market and we are being appreciated by none other than Hun sen himself, the Cambodia’s Prime Minister for our efforts made in the training area.”
Methods Apparel will now take care of the short-term professional courses for working professionals in the area of Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Industrial Relation offered by CGTI. Each course will take four to five days to complete.
During the Inaugural function, the Cambodian Prime Minister attended the training session delivered by K. Shri Raajkhaanth, Director of Methods Apparel on Lean Manufacturing.
“Methods is actively involved in creating the road map for the national level training program and will further participate in ‘Kaizen Cambodia’ for bringing in sustainable improvement. Talks are on to become a member of the National Productivity Council of Cambodia,” commented Shri Raajkhaanth, who is also an instructor for the professional short-term courses of CGTI.
During the inauguration of CGTI, Andrew Tey, Director of CGTI underlined that CGTI identified Methods Apparel to fulfil the Prime Minister’s vision as it is actively involved in bringing productivity up in the apparel industry. Apparel Exports Contribution to US (January to July 2017)
