Sonia to take up Rae Bareli is­sues


Lucknow: Up­set over the prob­lems that the peo­ple in Rae Bareli, her con­stituency, are fac­ing, Congress pres­i­dent Sonia Gandhi said on Mon­day that she will talk to UP chief min­is­ter Akhilesh Yadav in this re­gard. Talk­ing to re­porters shortly after her ar­rival from Delhi, Mrs Gandhi said, “The sit­u­a­tion is very bad here. There is no de­vel­op­ment in the vil­lages and the common man is fac­ing a lot of prob­lem. Be­sides, there is no one to solve their prob­lems.” Mrs Gandhi, who is on a two- day visit to Rae Bareli, as­sured the peo­ple at Farid­pur vil­lage in Harchand­pur block that she will talk to Mr Yadav about the power cri­sis di­rectly re­lated to the peo­ple of her con­stituency.
