Gupta, Singh top draws in Mohali leg
The event will be played over three rounds of 18 holes each with the cut being applied after 36 holes
Chandigarh- based Harendra Gupta and Ranjit Singh will lead the field when the Professional Golf Tour of India stages the fourth event of the 2014 Feeder Tour season at the Forest Hills Golf Resort in Mohali from Tuesday. The threeday event carries a prize purse of ` 6 lakh.
The tournament will have a field of 72 players. The event will be played over three rounds of 18 holes each with the cut being applied after 36 holes.
The field will also feature Akshay Sharma of Chandigarh, the winner of the season’s opening event in Jaipur and the current leader of the Feeder Tour Order of Merit with earnings of ` 1,77,870.
A total of six events with prize purse of ` 6 lakh each will be played during the 2014 PGTI Feeder Tour season. The last two events of the season will be staged at two different courses in Lucknow later this month.
The winner of the 2014 PGTI Feeder Tour Order of Merit will get an exemption to play on the PGTI in 2015.
