Gupta, Singh top draws in Mohali leg

Chandigarh- based Haren­dra Gupta and Ran­jit Singh will lead the field when the Pro­fes­sional Golf Tour of In­dia stages the fourth event of the 2014 Feeder Tour sea­son at the For­est Hills Golf Re­sort in Mohali from Tues­day. The three­day event car­ries a prize purse of ` 6 lakh.

The tour­na­ment will have a field of 72 play­ers. The event will be played over three rounds of 18 holes each with the cut be­ing ap­plied after 36 holes.

The field will also fea­ture Ak­shay Sharma of Chandigarh, the win­ner of the sea­son’s open­ing event in Jaipur and the cur­rent leader of the Feeder Tour Or­der of Merit with earn­ings of ` 1,77,870.

A to­tal of six events with prize purse of ` 6 lakh each will be played dur­ing the 2014 PGTI Feeder Tour sea­son. The last two events of the sea­son will be staged at two dif­fer­ent cour­ses in Lucknow later this month.

The win­ner of the 2014 PGTI Feeder Tour Or­der of Merit will get an ex­emp­tion to play on the PGTI in 2015.
