WOMAN DIES AFTER ATTACK BY ROBBERS

Ghaziabad: A 23- year- old married woman, who was brutally beaten up by robbers on Sunday night, suc

cumbed to her injuries on Monday at a private hospital

here, the police said. Some unidentified robbers

had barged into Anjali’s mother’s house in Nistauli village in Sahibabad area at

around 1.30 am and thrashed her brutally, before fleeing with the booty, the police said. Robbers also

inflicted injuries to her mother Mundresh, a widow, and sisters Preeti ( 18) and Antim ( 12) and brother Sekhar ( 10), they said. On hearing the screams of family members, the neigh

bours rushed to the spot and called up the police, an official said. Sahibabad police station inspector Upendra Yadav said the modus operandi of dacoits

is much similar to that of ‘ Bavaria gang’. As per their

prior history, the gang is active during rainy seasons. Senior superintendent of police Dharmendra Yadav

said experts are drawing sketches of the culprits. Two teams of police sleuths from crime branch and forensic science experts have been deputed to catch the criminals, Mr Yadav said.
