2 NIGERIANS HELD FOR FAKE JOB RACKET

New Delhi: Two Nigerian nationals have been arrested from Mandawali in East Delhi in connection with cheating a woman of 2.25 lakh promising her a job with Qatar Airways on Saturday. A team of crime branch arrested the accused Michael James and Umeadi Valentine Chigozie, both Nigerians, from a house on Gurudwara Road in Mandawali area on August 24. They were arrested on a complaint filed by M. Gangalaksh­mi with the cyber cell of the crime branch, said Ravindra Yadav, joint commission­er of police. The complainan­t, a resident of Telangana, alleged that she had paid 2.25 lakh to the accused who had promised her a job with Qatar Airways. The complainan­t had also filed a complaint with cyber crime police station of Cyberabad in Telangana, said the officer. The police also recovered 52 SIM Cards, two data cards, three laptops and five mobiles from the accused who were suspected to be running a fake job racket.
