Harshvardhan eases into Bhavesh Joshi’s role

-

Still basking in positive reviews about his acting chops in his debut Mirzya, Harshvardhan Kapoor has already started prepping for his next film. The new kid on the block bagged Vikramaditya Motwane’s much-delayed Bhavesh Joshi, and has decided to go in for a de-glam avatar in the movie.

Says a source from the sets, “Harshvardhan plays a regular, middle class guy in the movie, and hence suggested that he use the same make-up and hair artistes that worked on the other character-actors’ looks in it. The actor doesn’t move with a major entourage, and enjoys learning things on the set, interacting with people who work behind the scenes, and improving their craft.”

Bhavesh Joshi was initially supposed to star Imran Khan in the lead role. However, with Imran having to opt out of the project, owing to certain issues, the project went into a limbo. While strong rumours suggested that Ranveer Singh was supposed to be cast in the role, it was Sidharth Malhotra who bagged the film.

Despite finalising the lead, Vikramaditya was in half a mind to shelve the film, since he felt the subject wasn’t relevant to current times. Later, he changed his mind and the project landed in Harshvardhan’s lap. With the actor’s involvement, it looks like the film is finally on track.
