SC hearing on Pul allegations today
New Delhi: The Supreme Court will hear on Thursday a writ petition seeking a direction to register an FIR on the basis of the “suicide note” of former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Kalikho Pul, levelling serious allegations of bribery against top judges of the apex court and lawyers in the case relating to President’s rule in the state in January 2016. Chief Justice J.S. Khehar decided to treat the letter written by Dangwimsai Pul, wife of late the late chief minister, a writ petition. The letter sought the CJI’s intervention to register an FIR and to order a CBI probe into the allegations. Ms Pul had released the suicide note at a press conference in Delhi.
