BJP WON’T TAKE AAP MLAs WHO ‘WANT TO JOIN’

-

New Delhi: Riding high on people’s historic mandate in the civic polls, the BJP has decided not to take any Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in its fold. Sources said that after the results were announced on Wednesday in which the BJP has won 181 municipal wards, about half-adozen AAP legislators approached Delhi BJP leadership expressing interest to join the party. The BJP leadership, however, has shown no interest to the request of AAP MLAs and refused to meet them. “About six AAP MLAs has approached party leadership and sought time to meet and discuss the political development in wake of civic poll results tomorrow. They said they were willing to join the BJP. But the party leadership has refused to meet them,” said a BJP leader.
