3 Maoists killed in firefight in C’garh

Bhopal: Three suspected Maoists, including a woman commander, were on Sunday gunned down in an encounter in forested village of Pendori under the Aundi police limits in Chhattisga­rh’s Rajnandgao­n district. According to Rajnandgao­n district superinten­dent of police (SP) Prashant Agrawal, a search party of district force personnel was attacked by Maoists at Pendori at around 2 pm in the afternoon, leading to a fierce gunbattle between them. Later, the rebels escaped into the jungle. Security personnel found bodies of three Naxalites, including a woman, at the encounter site.
