2 jawans injured in Naxal explosion
Bhopal: Two policemen, including a station house officer (SHO), were on Thursday injured in separate incidents of Naxal explosions in Chhattisgarh’s south Bastar district of Bijapur. According to a senior district police officer, Naxals triggered landmine explosion targeting a joint search party of security personnel led by Gangaloor police SHO Manoj Singh in Savana jungle in the district leaving him injured. The incident took place when the search party was cordoning off an area in the jungle where Naxals set up a camp. The Naxals ambushed the search party against near Palanar when they were evacuating the injured SHO. A jawan, identified as G. Vedja was injured in a landmine blast.
